Alaska

Education of Migratory Children - Helps provide migratory children the same opportunities as other children to meet challenging state performance standards. A more focused program will target efforts on the most mobile children, whose schooling is most likely to be disrupted.

Alabama

Arizona

The mission of the Bilingual/Migrant Unit is to provide the educational community with technical assistance to ensure a quality education and high academic achievement for limited English proficient and eligible migrant students in the state of Arizona.

California

Among the neediest students in California are migratory youth--children, who change schools throughout the year, often crossing school district and state lines, to follow work in agriculture, fishing, dairies, or the logging industry.

Colorado

The Jefferson County Public Schools Migrant Education Program began operation in January, 1993 to provide funding for educational services to childrenof families who have moved into Jefferson County in the past three years and who work in agriculturally- related occupations. This Federally-funded program serves all eligible migrant children, ages 3-21.

Georgia

Migrant Education is a national program that provides supplemental educational and support services to migrant children. These services help children of migrant workers overcome the disruption to their education and other obstacles they encounter. The Migrant Education Program is based on the premise that poverty, mobility and school achievement are related and that children who are both poor and migratory are more likely to have difficulty in school.

Michigan

The Michigan Migrant Education Program is a state-operated program which provides funds for supplemental educational services to eligible migrant students during the regular school year and in the summer.
