Robolab offers two very distinct programming levels, Pilot and Inventor. This screen shot is displaying Pilot Level 1, the easiest program stage within Robolab. Each item, input A and time, can be manipulated. The white arrow downloads the program via infrared to the RCX Brick. |

This is Pilot Level 4. The programmer now has the ability to control input ABC and output 123. The addition of steps allows for multiple tasks to be programmed. The pink arrow is for looping purposes, in its current state no looping will occur. You may also save and upload from a floppy. In our early testing of Robolab many students, who spent 4 days in class, chose to progam their final robot in this level. |

Inventor 1 is the first step in truly giving the user complete control over what their robot can do. This level also introduces the dragging and dropping of objects onto a stage and then arranging them, stringing them and downloading the program. In our initial introduction over 4 days, entering this stage of Robolab and successfully programming was the hardest part of the program. Note help window, as you role over each object this window displays its (object) current status and what it can do. |

Inventor 4 offers the most features in Robolab. Including multitasking, containers, music, the ability to send email to another brick, etc. In our intial testing over 4 day classes we have had no students reach this level. |
